Paola Tagliaferro : “I had never thought of making a cover disc of famous songs by a great Author … but This album began in 2012 when I met Greg Lake and his Wife Regina. From then on I Corresponded with Greg , until a few Months before his Death and later through my friendship with his Wife.
In 2019 Regina suggested that it would be good if I made an Album “ Paola Tagliaferro sings Greg Lake “. All Greg Lake Songs, Songs I love. In this intense, profound and difficult journey, I learned under the guidance of Regina Lake,to perceive Greg’s intention and feeling and make the Work of this great Artist resonate through my voice and the music of La Compagnia dell’Es”.
La Compagnia dell’Es – an open band – collaborated by donating their talent to the creation of the work : Pier Gonella- guitar, Giulia Ermirio- viola, Andrea Zanzottera- piano, Enten Hitti (Pierangelo Pandiscia e Gino Ape)- lute/bells/oboe/xilophono, U.T. Gandhi- percussions and Vincenzo Zitello- harp.
The arrangements were produced by Paola Tagliaferro in collaboration with all these talented musicians, who were able to freely interpret and recreate the parts assigned to them.

“Questo album è iniziato nel 2012 quando ho conosciuto Greg Lake e sua Moglie Regina.
Da quel momento in poi è iniziata la mia corrispondenza con Greg , fino a pochi mesi prima della sua morte e poi attraverso la mia amicizia con sua Moglie. Nel 2019 Regina mi ha suggerito che sarebbe stato bello se avessi fatto un album intitolato Paola Tagliaferro sings Greg Lake,con tutte le canzoni di Greg Lake, le canzoni che Amo. In questo viaggio intenso, profondo e difficile, ho imparato con la guida di Regina Lake, a percepire l’intenzione e il sentimento di Greg e a far risuonare il Lavoro di questo grande Artista attraverso la mia voce e la musica della mia band La Compagnia dell’Es ”.
La Compagnia dell’Es – una band aperta – che ha collaborato donando il proprio talento alla realizzazione dell’opera: Pier Gonella, Giulia Ermirio, Andrea Zanzottera, Enten Hitti, U.T. Gandhi e Vincenzo Zitello.
Gli arrangiamenti sono stati prodotti da Paola Tagliaferro in collaborazione con tutti questi talentuosi musicisti, che hanno potuto interpretare e ricreare liberamente le parti loro assegnate.
